Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect what’s needed to run the app: your account info, details about your RV, and your maintenance history. We use this to give you a personalized maintenance plan. We don’t sell your data. We don’t track your location. We use a small number of trusted third-party services to make the app work.

What we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password. We use Supabase for authentication and never see your raw password ourselves.
RV information
During setup, you tell us about your RV: year, brand, model, type, and component details (slideouts, AC type, water heater type, generator details, and so on). This information stays tied to your account and is used to build your personalized maintenance plan.
Maintenance data
As you use the app, we store information about your maintenance tasks: when they were completed, your custom intervals, your notes, and your service log entries. If you have a motorhome or generator, we may also store mileage or hours readings you enter.
Feedback submissions
If you submit feedback on a maintenance task, we collect your message, your stated experience or credentials (if provided), and the task you’re commenting on. Your account email is included so we can follow up if needed.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a notification token from Expo so we can send you maintenance reminders.
Subscription status
If you upgrade to Pro, we store your subscription status. Payment processing happens through Apple’s App Store or Google’s Play Store, and we never see your payment information directly.
What we don’t collect
We don’t track your location. We don’t access your photos, contacts, or calendar. We don’t collect device identifiers for advertising. We don’t have ads in the app.
How we use your information
To provide the service
Your RV details and maintenance data are what make the app work. We use them to schedule tasks, send reminders, and personalize content for your specific rig.
To improve the content
When you submit feedback, we review it against manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. If your input improves the maintenance plan, you’ll see the change in a future update. We may also analyze patterns in how the app is used to identify content gaps.
To send you notifications
If you’ve opted in, we send maintenance reminders and other relevant notifications.
To support you
If you contact us, we use your account information to respond.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of trusted services to operate RVKeeper:
Hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account, RV data, and maintenance history live in Supabase.
When you set up a new component, we may send anonymized information about your RV (year, brand, model, component type) to OpenAI to generate a personalized maintenance plan. We don’t send your name, email, or other identifying information. The maintenance plan is then cached so the same query doesn’t need to run again.
Handles push notifications for the app.
When you submit feedback, we send a notification email to ourselves so we can review it. Your feedback content and email are included in this notification.
Handle subscription billing and payment processing. They follow their own privacy policies for payment information.
Manages subscription status across platforms once we launch with paid Pro features.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We chose them because they have strong privacy practices, but we encourage you to review their policies if you want to know more.
Your rights
Access your data
Email us at rvkeeper-support@openroadapps.com and we’ll send you a copy of your data.
Delete your account
Email us at rvkeeper-support@openroadapps.com and we’ll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. Some information may persist in backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.
Correct your information
You can update your RV details and maintenance data anytime through the app’s edit screens. For account information, email us.
Opt out of notifications
You can turn off notifications in the app’s settings or in your device settings.
Cancel your subscription
Subscription cancellation happens through the App Store or Play Store, depending on where you subscribed.
Children’s privacy
RVKeeper is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email rvkeeper-support@openroadapps.com and we’ll delete it.
Data security
We use industry-standard security practices. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens are hashed. We don’t store payment information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
International users
RVKeeper is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and stored in the US. By using RVKeeper, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we’ll notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
